In order to facilitate advancements in 3D printing technology and promote research into smart manufacturing, Kyndryl, an American multinational company that offers the largest IT infrastructure services in the world, teamed up with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati, one of India’s top technology institutions to work toward ai enabled 3D printing technology. Through advanced research, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of fresh ideas across the nation, the association will concentrate on fast creating affordable 3D prototypes for complicated items in production.

What this join collaboration of  IIT Tirupati and Kyndryl will offer using idea of AI enabled 3D Printing technology?

Today, 3D technology is crucial for creating product prototypes and manufacturing final products, which are then utilized to identify design flaws and fix them before going into mass production. With digital transformation comes an increase in the demand for smart manufacturing skills and capabilities.

The partnership will combine the 3D printing expertise of IIT Tirupati with the global AI expertise of Kyndryl to enable the co-development of Machine Learning (ML) models that will enable the identification of potential flaws in 3D printing in almost real-time. The ability to forecast performance in actual industrial environments could help in the creation of new products and find considerable cost, time, and waste generation savings.

According to Prof. K.N. Satyanarayana, Director of IIT Tirupati, “this relationship would enable IIT Tirupati students and faculty to interact with Kyndryl’s best-in-class professionals on the frontiers of deploying AI to tackle industry difficulties.” “The collaboration with Kyndryl in the digital manufacturing segment can quickly deliver cost-effective solutions to the manufacturing business and better expose our students
